Day 03 - Flying to Lukla and Reaching Phakding (4-5 hrs trek)

Get ready for a thrilling morning! We'll take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2827m), offering breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas bordering Nepal and Tibet. Upon landing in Lukla, you'll meet your porters and have time to explore this charming village nestled amidst the mountains. Our trek begins with a gentle descent towards the Dudh Koshi River, where we'll join the main trail leading to Namche Bazaar. The path is relatively easy, and soon we'll arrive at our comfortable lodge in Phakding, where you can relax and soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Day 04 - Gradual Ascent to Namche Bazaar (6-7 hrs trek)

Today's trek takes us along the classic route towards Everest Base Camp, with a gradual ascent to ensure proper acclimatization. We'll depart Phakding and cross the Dudh Koshi River at Benkar, where you can savor stunning views of the snow-capped peaks of Kusum Kangaru and Thamserku. The trail winds through beautiful tracts of blue pine and rhododendron forests, particularly spectacular during spring when the flowers bloom in vibrant colors. After Monjo, the terrain becomes slightly more challenging, with a steeper climb leading to Namche Bazaar. As we approach the entrance of the Sagarmatha National Park, our permits will be checked. Following a brief descent to Jorsale, the path continues upstream on a flatter terrain until the confluence of the Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi rivers. Crossing a large suspension bridge high above the river, we'll make a final climb to reach the bustling village of Namche Bazaar (3440m). Taking a slow and steady pace is crucial on this ascent, allowing you to fully appreciate the incredible panoramic views. Keep your camera ready – the majestic peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku will gradually come into sight. The effects of high altitude may slow you down slightly, so listen to your body and acclimatize at a comfortable pace.
