Day 01 - (ArrivalDay) Kathmandu

Your Everest Three Passes adventure begins in Kathmandu, Nepal's bustling capital! Upon arrival, a convenient airport pickup whisks you to your hotel, where you can relax and prepare for the trek ahead.

Day 02 - Briefing/Equipment Check and Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Our day begins with a comprehensive briefing by your Mac Treks guide. We'll double-check your gear, ensuring you have everything you need for the trek. Missing items can be rented or purchased locally. Ready to explore? Our sightseeing adventure starts at Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site dedicated to Lord Shiva. Witness devotees offering prayers and experience the unique rituals performed here. Next, we head to Boudhanath Stupa, a colossal Buddhist shrine. Immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere as we visit monasteries and observe monks engaged in prayer.

Day 03 - Fly to Lukla (2827m) and Trek to Phakding (2610m).

Our adventure kicks off with a thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,827m). Buckle up and gaze out the window as the majestic Himalayan giants bordering Nepal and Tibet unfold before your eyes. Upon landing in Lukla, we meet our trusty porters who will accompany us on the trek. After some time to explore the charming village, we set off on the trail. The path gently descends towards the Dudh Koshi River, where we join the main route to Namche Bazaar. Today's walk is a relaxed introduction to the trek, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and ease into the rhythm of your journey. The comfortable lodge in Phakding awaits at the end of this 4-5 hour trek.

Day 04 - Trekking up to Namche Bazaar(3440m).

Our Everest Base Camp adventure begins with a gradual ascent from Phakding. We'll take it slow today, allowing our bodies to adjust to the increasing altitude. The trail winds through a picturesque blue pine and rhododendron forest, bursting with color in spring when the flowers bloom. Crossing the Dudh Koshi River at Benkar, prepare to be awestruck by the snow-capped peaks of Kusum Kangaru and Thamserku. The terrain becomes slightly more challenging after Monjo, with a steeper climb towards Namche Bazaar. Reaching the entrance of the Sagarmatha National Park, we'll have our permits checked before descending to Jorsale. The trail then follows a flat path along the river confluence before a demanding climb over a large suspension bridge. Conquering this climb leads us to the charming village of Namche Bazaar (3,440 meters). Remember, a slow and steady pace is key! Take your time and savor the breathtaking views – Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Taweche will gradually come into sight. The effects of high altitude might slow you down, so listen to your body and enjoy the incredible scenery. Finally, we reach our lodge in Namche Bazaar. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore – browse the shops for souvenirs, relax in a local teahouse, or simply soak in the majestic Himalayan panorama. This 6-7 hour trek is a rewarding introduction to the Everest Base Camp adventure.

Day 05 - Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Today's focus is on acclimatization in Namche Bazaar (3,450 meters). Allow your body to adjust to the higher altitude and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead. The morning offers an optional hike to the Everest View Hotel (3,900 meters). This climb provides a chance to stretch your legs and be rewarded with even more stunning Himalayan vistas. After lunch back in Namche, spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Explore the vibrant shops, relax in a cozy teahouse, or simply marvel at the majestic mountains that surround you.

Day 06 - Trek to Tengboche (3867m)

Day 07 - Trek to Dingboche (4410m)

Day 10 - Trek to Gorak Shep (5200m) and hike uphill to Kalapatthar (5545m.) for a sunset view

Today's adventure unfolds against the backdrop of the Khumbu Glacier. Following a broad valley, our trail gradually ascends towards the moraines of the Changri Nup Glacier. The path then transforms into a series of small climbs and descents over a rocky terrain marked by cairns (piles of stones used as trail markers). This eventually leads us to Gorak Shep, perched at an elevation of 5,200 meters. After a well-deserved lunch break, prepare to be humbled by the majesty of Everest. We'll embark on a challenging but rewarding hike to Kalapatthar (5,545 meters), a vantage point offering a panoramic vista unlike any other. Imagine witnessing the golden hues of sunrise illuminate the peaks of Pumori, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam, Taweche, Kantega, and of course, Everest. This breathtaking panorama is a sight that will stay with you forever. Budget around 1.5 hours to reach the summit from Gorak Shep. While the views from Kalapatthar are truly exceptional, keep in mind that lower viewpoints might offer similar vistas. Remember, we'll be descending in fading light, so bring a headlamp for this unforgettable excursion. This 6-7 hour trek is a challenging yet extraordinary highlight of the Everest Base Camp adventure.

Day 11 - Trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and back to Dzongla (4830m)

We'll rise early for a trek along the glacier, embarking on a roughly 3-hour journey to Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters). If you're trekking during the peak climbing season (March-May), prepare to be greeted by a sight that defines Everest expeditions – yaks and porters diligently transporting supplies to the camps above. While Everest itself might be hidden from view at Base Camp, you'll be standing right next to the notorious Khumbu Ice Fall, considered the most challenging and dangerous section of the climb. Witnessing this colossal glacier firsthand is a humbling experience. After reaching Base Camp and soaking in the unique atmosphere, we'll return to Gorak Shep for a well-deserved early lunch. The afternoon brings us back down the trail, retracing our steps to Lobuche. For those seeking an additional challenge, there's the option to continue to Dzongla, a roughly 3-hour trek. Day 12 - Cross Cho la pass 5420 to Thangnak (4700m)

The ascent to Cho La Pass (5,420 meters) is an exciting challenge. The rocky, steep path will test your fitness, but the reward is unparalleled. Imagine gazing upon a panorama of snow-capped giants – Taboche, Cholatse, Baruntse, and Thamserku – all within view. Continuing towards Gokyo Valley, we'll cross the Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest glacier in Nepal, stretching an impressive 36 kilometers. The trail then transforms into a sandy path, leading us across the second Gokyo Lake. A short climb from here brings us to the delightful village of Gokyo. Day 14 - Excursion around Gokyo Valley & Lake

The steep climb from Gokyo village leads you to a vantage point boasting unparalleled views. Witness the majestic rise of Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, Taweche, and Makalu, all bathed in the golden light of sunrise. This breathtaking panorama is a sight you'll cherish forever. Descend back to Gokyo village, forever marked by this incredible experience. Alternatively, for those seeking a different kind of challenge, a 5-hour trek awaits. The trail leads you to Gokyo's fifth lake, nestled right next to Cho Oyu, the world's sixth-highest mountain. Day 15 - Trek from Gokyo to Lunde via Renjo La Pass (5345m)

Our journey begins after breakfast in Gokyo. The trail gradually ascends, leading us towards the mighty Renjo La. Day 16 - Trek from Lunde to Thame (3800m)

Today's trek offers a scenic descent from Lunde to Thame village. As you embark on the path, prepare to be mesmerized by the majestic peaks of Thamserku, Kusum Kanguru, and Kantega lining the way. Keep an eye out for Thame Gompa, a 325-year-old monastery perched on a nearby hill overlooking the village. This historic landmark houses three imposing statues of Chenresig (Avalokiteswara), Guru Rinpoche, and Buddha Shakyamuni. Day 18 - Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla
